Tucked in between Claremont and Wynberg in the Southern Suburbs , Kenilworth is a residential suburb featuring both older freestanding homes and more modern townhouse and apartment complexes.
In addition to its gracious homes and quiet residential streets, the area is notable for its many stately oak trees and its views of Table Mountain. Kenilworth is home to several excellent schools, including Cedar House, Greenfield Girls Primary and Michael Oak Waldorf School. Some of the Western Cape’s top schools, such as Herschel, Western Province Prep and Springfield Convent, are nearby.
Central Cape Town is easily accessible via the M3 highway or the Southern Suburbs rail line.
It would be impossible not to mention Kenilworth Racecourse, the oldest racecourse in the country, and home to the annual J&B Met. The centre of the racecourse is a 52 hectare nature reserve.
